: 1. You need a video out, such as the one on the Creative Dxr2 MPEG-2 card.
: 2. You need a way to remove the MacroVision copy protection signal if the DVD you wish to copy is copy protected only that way. This function is provided by Remote Selector for some cards, by Zone Selector for others.
: 3. You may need to convert the video format (60Hz NTSC/50 Hz PAL etc). Most videos only record in one of the formats. Remote Selector does that too, provided you have an MPEG card it supports. Most cards are incapable of converting formats.
: 4. After that, it's just a problem of finding a free tape.
