I have a SONY DVD-ROM with TV out. I Just use an older VCR.
I have an old Magnavox 4-head VCR and my DVD movies copy to it
just fine. I tend to assume that the copy protection only
works with newer equipment because I tried to copy to a newer
VCR and got a poor copy, barely viewable. I also tried
copying to my Sony MiniDV, but got a "COPY INHIBIT" message.
But again, I don't think older VCR's pick up copy protection.
