: I have a SONY DVD-ROM with TV out. I Just use an older VCR.
: I have an old Magnavox 4-head VCR and my DVD movies copy to it
: just fine. I tend to assume that the copy protection only
: works with newer equipment because I tried to copy to a newer
: VCR and got a poor copy, barely viewable. I also tried
: copying to my Sony MiniDV, but got a "COPY INHIBIT" message.
: But again, I don't think older VCR's pick up copy protection.

You can also use a new SVHS video recorder and get
450 lines res, no copy protection on my JVC .
