whats the easiest modchip to install for ps2...cuz i might get a ps2 and i want to play backups...and i never installed a modchip b4 and i don't want to mess up my new ps2...i would get the sbox usb thing and gameshark which prob. be like $60-70 total...but why pay that when i can get non swap ps2 modchip for about same price....also if i get sbox thing i would have to keep swapping...that would get annoying....like the ps1 (game enhancer...swap original with backup over and over)....

so i want to get a good modchip and 1 thats easy to install and has no swap..... any recommendations of which ps2 modchip to get??...

none of the no swop chips are easy to install (unless you are a pro chip installer)
but if you want a fairly easy chip to install get a neo 2.2 (if you have a V4 or lower console)
or if you have a V5 or 6 console get a sbox and no solder mod combo.
both these methods require a swop to play ps2 games but no swop to play psx games.

yeah i would say it's better to have someone fit it for ya for a few $$ rather than risk the prce of a new ps2
