I have made many coaster trying to make vcd's ans svcd's in nero. There are no errors after the vcd is done, it just wont play on my dvd player. I have a few vcd's I bought from hong kong that work fine on the same dvd player. I drag the mpeg or avi files to nero like it says and burn, I even have the mpeg add on for nero. I noticed that the vcd I bought has an exe in the main directory used to watch the vcd on computers which works fine, also let me add that I can open my burned vcd's on my computer just fine.
Please help

You have a problem with the media. The HK made VCDs are probably pressed ie not burned to CDRs. Although your player can handle VCDs that doesn't mean it can play CDRs.
Try burning to CDRWs as many DVD players are better at playing those disc than CDRs.

yea could be your dvd player can only play pressed vcds. I have a Fisher brand dvd player that only does that. Have you checked on vcdhelp.com for compatibility?

Its the media. My dvd player doesnt like cd-r only plays cd-rw. Also it only plays vcd not svcd. Its a 3 disc pioneer mk-v555 I believe.
Thanks
