Sup people, haven't been on here in a while, but anywho...
I installed a second HD(as a slave) for a buddy of mines. That HD(slave) had Win95 on it and was ganna wipe it clean after installin' it. The deal is, I had Pin-1 on the opposite end, and had already turned on the computer before I knew it.
Turn the compt. off and put the cable on the right way, and rebooted the computer. Now I don't get any video at all. I can't even use a bootdisk to get to the MS-DOS window. I get no video output at all. The light on the monitor is "green" so I know it's getting some kind of signal from it. I've turn it off/on a couple of time and I'ld get some gibber and some color on the screen, but nothing else.
Even with the second HD that I installed taken out and the system left as it was before, I get the same results. I get a regular "beep" to say POST was good, but no other "beep" code to tell me if somethings wrong with the video. It's a legacy motherboard, so everything is on there, no separate components.(I'm fanna try a separate video card next).
I'm at a total loss here. I've build systems, and done upgrades for countless of people, but this is the first time I ran into this:confused:
Any ideas :idea: Aight, thanks for any help:D
;;;I even took out the Master HD and stuck it in my computer as a slave and checked it out, and it's all good. Ran Scandisc on it and no errors;;;;;
