I'm having problems making a backup of my Triple Play 2001 cd for the pc. I have already copied it but when I try to use the burned cd instead of the original, a message comes up saying please insert the correct cd and try again. Is this some type of copy-protection and if so, how can I make a working backup? Everything works fine with the original cd. Thanks!

It has copy protection indeed...safedisc.To make a WORKING copy,go to www.elby.de and download clonecd.Make sure that your writer is supported though (look at list on site). To make the copy you made work,go to www.gamecopyworld.com and download the no-cd patch.

Enabling Daemon-tool's SafeDisc emulation should also make your copy work.

daemon tools is a cd-rom emulator that tricks a computer into thinking a cd image file (like a .bin file or.ccd file or whatever) is a CD-ROM drive. Then you can install/play the game using the image file instead of burning it to cd. This is handy if your burner does not support clone cd and you need to clone a game to get a working copy.

Daemon-tools can also emulate SafeDisc, Securom and Laserlok, which is what I meant.
