This is a continuation from the post I had bout video not working.
I stuck a video card in, and I get video finally. I tried to run setup to fix the missin' corrupted system files for my video driver(on-board). However, it says I have to rem out devices in my Config.sys, the thing is, there's nothing in my Config.sys.?
So I just reformat the HD to start clean, run setup and it says "KERNAL: trouble loading heap". I do a scanreg /f on it and it says my configuration(system) files are corrupt and can't be fixed and to try to rem some of the device drivers. Anyone got a clue on that? I check all my .ini, .sys, .bat files and nothing is loaded in them for me to rem out???
I'm not to deep into the KERNAL stuff, so I really don't know how to interpret the KERNAL message.
Any clue as what else to look for or add/delete from my .ini, .sys, .bat files? I don't know why my registry would be messed up, I haven't even loaded an OS yet?? Oh well, I'll play around with it some more, any advice will be greatly accepted:tup:
