Yeah i was wondering does anyone here do this?
You know them single jewel cases. Well yeah their meant for one cd but i usually put two in their. They fit fine but i was wondering should i have the cd's bottoms facing each other since they are both smooth.
Or just stack on top each other.

Yeah I know it would be better to store them as singles or get a one them folders. But these cd's i rarely get though for they are games. Only use them when i have to reinstall them.
I was just wondering if anyone here else does this an do you do bottom on bottom or the other way?

Scatches to the top of the disc cause more damage than scratches to the bottom. The data is actually stored on the top layer, just underneath the label, damage to the polycarbonate bottom layer can cause the laser to refract incorrectly but damage to the top layer can destroy the data. Small scratches to the bottom of the disc may result in read errors although with data this may not be a major problem due to the CDROMs error correction.

So if you really must store 2 discs together then place them bottom to bottom, when removing the discs from the case do not twist them!, you may be better off just buying a box of CD sleeves, the are a very cheap storage medium although they obviously don't offer the protection that a jewel case does.

for what they cost i always get doubles, obviously you'll get your money back for the price you charge for a double instead of a single
