I know there's an emulator for the Sega Master System, but is there one for the Super Nintendo? I'd much rather play those games than the Sega games. Any input?

Any input? andyclarke365 May 21, 2002, 03:41 AM As far as I am away, there is no Super Nintendo emulator. The only emulators currently out are the Master System, Game Gear, Spectrum and a BBC Micro one Hopefully there will be an Amiga one! andyclarke365@hotmail.com 3rdandgoal May 21, 2002, 08:05 AM where can i get these? King Pimp May 21, 2002, 10:38 AM yeah i want it too badderman May 21, 2002, 11:13 AM why would you buy a next generation console to play games from consoles and computers years old? I just can't understand it :) King Pimp May 21, 2002, 01:13 PM KOOL michaelstorey May 21, 2002, 01:53 PM There is someone working on it ... http://snes-station.emuunlim.com/ Quote from the site - March 06, 2002 Since I restarted work on the emulator a couple of months ago I have been pretty busy ... I've been writing/porting my own libraries for the PS2, and have started using the GNU compiler. By using my own libraries this has allowed me to do numerous optimisations to fairly basic functions, which otherwise do not make full use of the EE processor. I have also been working on some optimisations to the emulators graphics core, which should (when finished) give some further speed increases. I hope to have almost all games (maybe with the exception of SuperFX stuff) running at full framerate, before the first public release. I will not promise a release date for the first public release, but I do hope this will be soon. (The first public release is likely to be lacking sound/savegame support - but these should make it into the second public release) andyclarke365 May 21, 2002, 02:10 PM search the forum for links for the emulators Vyse May 21, 2002, 10:20 PM Originally posted by badderman why would you buy a next generation console to play games from consoles and computers years old? I just can't understand it :) no, its not that, its that dont you wanna feel good knowing that your system can be like multiple game systems in one? And if youre a gamer from the 80's and so youll most likely feel nostalgic for some ol games but dont want to pull that old dusty SNES out from closet. I just can't understand it :) Being a gamer from the 80's i still agree with your view! i can't bare the old outdated graphics of the 16 bit days. i can remember the competitions my freinds and i had from street fighter and madden or tecmo superbowl, but i have to say that i am spoiled by th next gen graphics and have spent so much time adjusting to the new look, feel and mechanics that the older games/emu's are painful just to watch. i have to let the past be the past and look forward to the future. |
