yes... i have searched, but i didn't find an answer. So....
I have a v5 PAL ps2 with messiah and proper rgb scart. my tv has one scart and one RF input. my ps1 ntsc games boot in full colour (presumably because the messiah corrects colour output to PAL50). my ps2 ntsc games come up in black and white. I need to find a way to have these in colour, and I think my tv is probably only PAL50. The solutions i have found (+ problems) are:
1) £50 converter box - this seems to have a composite output which for some reason (even with the scart adapter) my tv wont accept (out of box lead with ps2 doesn't work and i have a composite/rgb scart Blaze lead and the composite signal is not understood by my tv - nothing happens)
2) £10 ps1/2 only converter - this seems to have composite and RF output. Composite will not work as explained above, and I really don't fancy flickering RF pictures when i could be using an RGB scart.
3) NTSC colour fix - no-one seems to know what this does (if it outputs PAL60 or PAL50), and as i am useless with a soldering iron, I will have to get someone else to do it (hard to find), plus risk damaging the console if its not done correctly. And of course there's the ps1 games on ntsc consoles with messiahs colour fix to make everything even more confusing!!
Anyone know any other solutions/whether the NTSC colour fix works?
Cheers
