I have office 2000 and disk 2 has a bad mark on the outer part of the disk. I'm trying to make a backup copy of the disk so in case it fails I wont be sol. What is the best program to use and are there any tips for making a backup of this cd.

I would use Clone CD myself. Or any other burning software will copy this no problem as it's not copy protected.

You can get a demo of Clone from http://elby.org/ if you don't have it already.

I tried NERO but when it gets to 70 - 80% it quits and says it wont copy certain files. Any ideas.

As I said in my post download Cone CD demo. That WILL work. Close down any progs running in background. i.e. A/V etc.

Use the default "Data" settings in Clone CD for this too.
