Windows Millennium is not a stable OS. We have had multiple customers experience a myriad of problems with it. It does not do multi-tasking nearly as well as Windows XP. Basically, Windows XP is a more stable OS overall in most situations. If I were you, I would go back to XP. If that is not an option, then there are a few basic things you can try.

Defrag harddrive. Close all programs, antivirus, screensavers, etc. Make sure you have DMA enabled.

Anyways, if you do want to keep Windows ME, post a reply and we can try several more things. But seriously, overall, Windows XP is more stable than Windows ME. Others may feel differently, but that has been my experience.
