My lite-on 40x burner's maximum burn speed is shown as 32x in windows XP and Nero burning rom. Has anybody else had this problem?

I've had this problem myself. I've not used this drive in Win XP so can't really say. What version of Nero are you running? The latest version is "5.5.8.2" and I know for sure that this drive is supported and listed in it as a 40X drive now.

Put it this way my drive burns at 40X fine on Win Me using this version.

I'm using the latest version of Nero (Version 5.5.8.2)

Odd thing is I just updated the firmware; after that, the first time I ran Nero, it showed up as a 40x.. but then it went back to showing it's max speed as 32x. strange..
