I just put a check in the mail for a refurbished computer that comes with a cd-rw, it's a Hewlite Packard (spelling?) computer and I was wondering is that any worse than cd-rw's you would buy by themselves?

son349 May 23, 2002, 08:59 PM I just put a check in the mail for a refurbished computer that comes with a cd-rw, it's a Hewlite Packard (spelling?) computer and I was wondering is that any worse than cd-rw's you would buy by themselves? colin.scoble May 24, 2002, 12:12 PM you say it is refurbished.does it come from a repitable company with some sort of warranty. and what spec is the pc.sorry for diversifying but these things are impotant.normally a good company will supply a reasonable writer, you get what you pays for,all hp writers ie the earlier ones are normally ok.you can always upgrade the writer at a later stage.without knowing the spec on the pc you ordered it is hard to say anymore.colin son349 May 24, 2002, 01:37 PM Refurbished Pavilion 7920 Shop by this brand $429.00 Ground Shipping $6.50 •Intel® Celeron™ processor •900MHz, 128MB RAM, 30GB •56K, 48X CD, CD-RW, Win Me In Stock: 11 Share This Deal With a Friend Tell Me When The Price Drops Compare This to Others Part#:S2067470 Mfr#:7920 Mfr:HP Consumer This unit has been refurbished by the manufacturer and comes with a 90-day manufacturer warranty The HP Pavilion 7920 desktop PC is a great choice when it comes to productivity, with an Intel® Celeron™ 900MHz processor, 128MB SDRAM, and huge 30GB hard drive. As you can probably tell, I am not really expierenced with computers but what I basically got it for is to burn cd's off the internet, so is this going to work just fine for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. celtic_druid May 24, 2002, 02:41 PM The drive, if I remember correctly is probably a rebadaged Sony 140E. A good solid drive that supports RAW DAO 96, but not overburning or 1:1 copies of SafeDisc2. |
