Having just downloaded the latest version of Clone CD and tried burning a PSX game and a Divx CD both discs failed to work. The PSX goes onto the menu screen and none of my PC drives will read the Divx CD let alone try to play it.
What's going wrong? I have Windows XP installed and a Plexwriter 16/10/40A. I'm writing at 8x onto Discplannet discs that I have used for years. What settings should I use when backuping the discs?
I've never had troubles with Clone CD 3 but ever since it has gone to the new supposedly better version 4 everything has gone tits up
Any help appreciated.

the higher the speed your burn it at, the better chance of getting coasters. Try it at 1x. Ive never had problems burning at 1x.

Yeah the thing with writing to the discs at 1x does make a difference but with the media available today and the quality of the writers and readers available, writing at 8x on media that supports 24x shouldn't be a problem these days.
Update: Just backed up the same 2 discs on Windows 98 with the same version of Clone CD with a Yamaha 8/4/24 drive with the same discs and the same write settings and it worked
Whats going wrong? I know Plextors are class drives and if I used any version of Clone CD except V4 it would work on XP... Does Version 4 work properly with XP or is there some problems?
This is doing my head in...

I have not had time to try it yet but i believe that the plex performs great in XP if you create a profile for each type of cd you are trying to clone, then just select the profile and away you go, I know someone who uninstalled it because it was rubbish, but when used to its ability he discovered it was much better than Clone 3X, (Plex 24X,win XP)

I use the same Plex drive on my No2 system with XP and have zero problems. It's got to be all down to your settings in Clone m8. Trust me, once you get used to the settings in V4 it's much, much better than V3.3.4.1

Somestimes it's also cheap media
You can burn, but won't work too
So mess around, maybe some configuration is wrong too
I don't know anything about yours, but when I burn 24x with mines, no problems, except when I burn on cheap media, quality isn't that good
And make sure it's certified discs
