I'm having trouble booting up Sunny Garcia Surfing on my V5 PS2. It would just freeze up on a blank screen. Oh yeah, I'm using the S-box and R-mod combo. Is there a patch needed?

I have an SBox and Sunny Garcia Surfing and have not had any problems without applying patches or anything. Could just be a bad burn?

I reburned the game on Maxell Media at 4x(my top speed) and still couldn't get it to work...

Hmmm, not sure dude! Have you had this sort of problem before? I am using the PAL version and used Nero to do a direct copy on really really chip and nasty media. Hope you get it sorted!

If you can make a copy of it, the disk is probably okay. Must be your boot procedure.
sbox & neokey have an issue of when you hit X, either do it right away or wait ten seconds works for me.
