Does anyone have any information on if Capcom is making Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for ps2? The last one was really sweet and with the power of the ps2 behind a new one I bet it could be one hell of a game. The last had 52 characters but Im sure the ps2 could have way more than that. My mouth is watering just thinking about it lol. If anyone can tell anything it would be great. Thanks!

Well it's kinda hard to tell.I by the way also loved MvsC2,one of the best 2d fighters i've ever played,loved the combos which could go over 80+ if you have the right fighters.Anyway,at April first there seemed to be a huge number of people claiming that the game was confirmed to be released on system 256 (or whatever the number) and the ps2.But it was of course just an april fools joke.So now there are people claiming that it IS in fact gonna be released on those systems not knowing they've been fooled.So i'm just waiting for something official.Untill then i'd say it's not even beeing deleloped for any system.I might be wrong.

capcom dont have the licence to make new capcom games anymore as far as I know, all got bought up by activision/ubi-soft etc. MvsC2 is the only one thats gonna be done for ps2.

Yeah i havent heard of any MVC 3, only that theyll port over MVC2 to Ps2.

heres 2 pics and some info on marvel vs. capcom 3..it had some characters listed it has jubilo..do they mean jubilee? thor.. ghost radier...zero..nemesis and other characters....i' think it might be for arcade...but u never know it might come to ps2

I haven't seen the pictures because it crashed my computer,but i've seen em already.All over the net they posted those 2 pictures on April first,to fool people.I'm 99.9% sure they're fake.

If they do not make a MvsC3 than i think its a big mistake. I mean come on, everytime you go into an arcade there is atleast one mvsc2 machine usually with the huge screen and speaker system. It was obviously a big hit at the arcade, because there is always someone playing it in the arcade. Those two screens look really sweet, especiall with dante in it.

Yeah marvel vs capcom 2 was a huge hit.But if what ricco said is true them we might never see another marvel vs capcom again.I also hope they don't jumt to 3d.None of the games i used to like are better in 3d.Look at street fighter alpha 3 ex,not a bad game,but it's not even close to street fighter alpha 3 on the dreamcast.There was also a king of fighters game that was partially 3d,and that sucked too.So i hope they stick with 2d if they release a sequel.

I think the closest they should get to making it 3d is to have the 2d character sprites but have the 3d background. When i first saw mvsc2 i was amazed at how sweet it looked with the 3d backgrounds and the 2d characters. Great combo i think.

MVC3 is not coming out, YET. Right now they're just porting MVC2 to PS2 and X-box/GCN

I didn't know that Capcom was bought out. Why are they making Resident Evil for Gamecube and PS2 then.

I am not going to say if those screen shots are real or fake. But I would like us all to remember an april fools joke gamepro did about eight years ago or something around there. They showed how you could play as ryu and kens master in street fighter 2 for snes. They had screen shots and everything that looked convincing, but it was all just an april fools joke. So you never know.

Hehe MvsC 3 is on arcades problably on japan. Why CAPCOM made games early on DC is because CAPCOM loved the Dreamcast they ported it now for well no reason only some people that never played the games before.

I live in Japan and there are currently no news on mvc3. Those two pics were just an April fools joke by mmcafe and shryuken.com.

I can't beleve how many people fall for april fools jokes,even after it's been announced to be a joke.

Also The Ken and Ryu master playable on Snes it's actually from the Arcades..Using Their master "Shen Long"..

Is been along time since the last street fighter games. I'm having street fighter withdraw. I think they need to make a street fighter online games. or release some older games with net support. There are people willing to buy a modem to play street fighter. I hate playing emulators online.

Well there is! Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo X for the DC was online gaming in Japan..But Obviously it won't work in the US..Also since DC is pretty Dead I'm sure the Servers were shut down as well in Japan..

It might work for mortal kombat but no way it would work for a mvsc3. If it did turn to 3d than it would have awkward controls(i have no clue if i spelled awkward right...).

I read it off somewhere..Also it's old news..From what I heard another company bought the licensy and no longer Capcom has the rights to bring out marvel vs games..But I just read recently on mmcafe dot com that Marvel vs DC is possibility and SNK Vs Capcom 3 is possibility..So there you have it! The info I read is likely false statement or I'm Dead possitive that it was posted in the EGM..Go to the site I mentioned and look under latest news..
