Hi,
I have an S-Video cable socket on both my laptop and sony camcorder (CCD-TRV65E video Hi8 XR). Is it possible to transfer the footage form the cancorder to the laptop via this cable? Ive tried to connect the two but the new device does not seem to be recognised.
Also, do i need any drivers?

i would check your laptop manual or manufacturers website and see if the svideo is just an out point or it can accept signals aswell.
