Help me please - I'm trying to record a home movie I have from a Hi8 movie camera on to a SVCD. My transfer device is ATI's - "All in Wonder RADEON." Transfering to the hard drive is not a problem, its Nero - it won't take it because its in a mp2 format. It notes that I need the Nero mp2 plugin for $19.99. Is this true. Is there a cheaper way rather than spend the $19.99. I've read quite a bit on that main page that tells everything about cd's,vcd's,dvds etc. I think there is a way but have not found it. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm using the SONY 580 computer with DVD ripping capabilities. I'm trying watch the SVCD on my APEX 1500.

If it is a complient SVCD stream then you can use VCD imager to create an image of a SVCD to burn with whatever program you want...

I thought that Nero could create SVCDs without the plugin if the source was complient and didn't need re-encoding???

I have had Nero 5 burn SVCDS without any real problems. It warned me about compliance but then burned it
