View Full Version : wrong firmware for cdrw drive help me!!

hi,
i have got the medion microstar 2000+ athlon pc and it has got a artec 20x10x40x cdrw drive on it, i was told to update the firmware on it but i have put the wrong one on there and know i cant copy anything, and i cant find the real firmware for the drive.
please help me before i chuck it out :gabby:

You're burner is dead (90% sure)
But remember, updating your firmware was your fault, you agreed to it when updating. But I don't know if you can fix it or not
I was told, once you've updated it and it doesn't work, it's dead

If the reflash does not work, then it's a gonner .....

You have got nothing to lose by trying to reflash with the correct firmware m8.

yep, firmware upgrade is very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, especially for bios, but cdrw's too. the wrong firmware will kill your drive, and there's no way to go back.
