I am planning to buy an xbox some time soon. I was wondering if there is any noticable dfference between the xbox rips on cdr and a full game burnt on to a dvdr. Obviously the rips are smaller due to downsampling. So they probably turn all the audio into mp3's. I'm guessing the video would be smaller, but would it be noticeably less quality. The games graphix wouldn't be any differnt would it. I'm not to concerned about the audio or cutscenes, but i wouldnt want to get rips if the graphix were worse then if I got the game on a dvdr. I can get rips for about $2 and games on dvdr for $5-10. If there is no noticeable diff. between rips and full games i would rather just buy rips.
Thanks -

hi there ok there are some problems with say cdrw ripps as they got to
get rid of say music or fmv in the game
i would really stick with the full version dvdr disk not cdrw as they are
ripped a bit
there some games that are on cdrw like burnout that has only got the
music cut out but is full game
there is others that have had there fmv cut out
just think playing halo with out any fmv arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
now i would hate that and i sure others would
stick with fullversion xbox games dvdr and keep an eye out on isonews
read the reviews of the hack and they tell u if anything has been ripped
out

dont buy rips i have some for the ps2, nearly all rips have ending videos or intros videos taken out, the rip of tony hawk 3 had no videos so i bought the full version dvdr for the xbox and theirs about 30 videos which make it part of the gaming experience
