has anyone experienced any problems when trying to play back precision cd-rs in a pacific dvd-750 as i have acquired a copy of star wars II svcd and it plays back but is very jumpy and not watchable
was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this?
is it the player? the media? or maybe the actual film?
cheers:tup:

Its the way the film was encoded by Centropy. The Pacific 750 can play most VCD/SVCD's fine, but some movies encoded in, what I can guess, a XVCD standard (not fully VCD/SVCD compliant) - these films the Pacific struggle to play - jumpy video/audio.
You can fix the jumpy SVCD/VCD movie, by demultiplexing the audio and video from the mpg file, then multiplexing them back together again, and reburning in Nero.
You'll need DVD2AVI to allow Tmpeg to read the mpg movie, Tmpeg to demultiplex, and BBmpeg to multiplex (BBmpeg is better at multiplexing that Tmpeg). Then finally burning with Nero.
