what is a crossover cable and do anyone know how much do they cost because i need that to play halo online. they anyone know where i can go to get one. thanks for the help

A crossover cable is just a regular network cable, but 2 wires switch pins. This allows you to connect NIC to NIC instead of NIC - hub/router - NIC, with straight network cable. Hubs are dirt cheap now so id suggest getting a hub, It'll allow you some growth if you have another computer you can game on your LAN. I use a hub and stright cable for my HALO gaming, it works great. If you still want Xover just go to Best Buy or whatever to buy it. If you need a long run its cheaper to go to a Computer repair shop and have them make it for you. at BB 50ft = about 35-40 dollars(US), I got one made for 20.
