Hi, just have my Enigmah chip and the wires that has come with it are single thred wires which u find in cables of wires. U know how u open a wire and has loads of thinner wires. Well its then really thin wires that are coper colour and have no rubber sealing over them. Well does it matter if they touch each other or will it blow up the machine

Cheers

I think the wire you have is enamelled tinned copper wire. I use this all the time for both PS2 and xbox. Basicaly the Enamel on the wire provides the insulation. You have to burn the insulation off at the ends with your soldering iron, this will also tin the wire for you at the same time. I find using this type of wire is quicker and also I find that the wire is less brittle at termination ends.

Cheers for the help m8 but what do u mean by "You have to burn the insulation off at the ends with your soldering iron, this will also tin the wire for you at the same time. I find using this type of wire is quicker and also I find that the wire is less brittle at termination ends".

End of the wires are sharp and looks like they have been cut off and there is nothing at the end of them lol

The wires are like a copper colour yes?.

If so on the ends where you wish to join the wire to a point, you have to remove the insulation in order for you to be able to solder it. This should be done with a soldering iron loaded with a solder, just run the wire along the tip. The insulation will burn off and the wire wil be tinned, ready to be connected.

Hope thats clearer now.
