hi Bug-C,

TMPGEnc. is now in version 2.5(i think) and since version 1.2a it has only allowed .mpeg2 encoding for a trial period of 30 days to keep on the good side of the mpeg2 authority chappies.
so you have a few options;-

1--have a look for a reg edit to enable another 30 day trial
2--complete re install
3--use version1.2a

have a look here:-

It's a little wierd, the software is freeware, the SVCD capability is also freeware, but it's coded to expire. Probably to force everone to download the newest version.

So as this isn't a hack, crack or other nasty :D here's the fix,
Use Reg Edit to enter the registry, search for and delete this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\CLSID\ 63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5

Yes I've done it & I've had no problems. With this entry gone TMPGEnc will happily encode MPEG2 (SVCD) for another 30 days.

Just something to add to that... Once you locate the key in the registry I suggest that you add it to the favourites so that you can easily find it once another 30 days has expired.
