I've got a laptop DELL Latitude 610 with CD-rom and want to change the firmware or something else to obtain a DVD-rom , is this possible ??

No unless you are going to take to take the cd rom out and throw it away and put a dvd rom in its place

Er..... no that's not possible. If you could do that everybody would!

Try buying a DVD-ROM drive.

You can , Contact Dell to get a replacement DVD-ROM, the BIOS inside the 610 should already support DVD, so its just a case of getting a DVD-ROM off Dell.

Yeah that's about all you can do,only 2 choice's if you want to keep in inside the pc if you only have 1 Cd bay! You can even get a combo drive if you like to have a burner and DVD in the same bay! I know dell have them!

Or you could go with an External drive!

get a external burner, it will be cheaper than buying one from the manufacturer.
