You may get all info here http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4s533/overview.htm

The SiS chip is what I would recommend taking into account what has been said about it at http://www.tomshardware.com
Seems to be one of the most reliable chips on the market now, and ASUS is definitely the best MoBo for Intel. Epox is good for AMD AFAIK, but I don't think they make any MoBo's for Pentium...

yes, you need pairs and I recommend 512MB.

Go to newegg.com and check out the intels. I would get the one with the built in lan and sound. Easier build!!! The one with the longest number and highest price.

PS//1054MtZ RDRAM is out cheap and alive. Get two of those.

And yes!!! 533 smokes everything and now with RDRAM above 1000 HTZ wow!!!!!

It looks like they are low on 350 watt p4 cases. This one is in stock, but they will have some cheaper ones by SAT. Be sure to get a mid tower/350 watt with fan and p4 ready.

The Asus p4 533 board is the way to go. Do not get onboard sound or lan or video, onboard components are cheaply made. It's also a pain if they break.

I would recommend minimum 256rd ram the 1066mhz stuff or whatever the number was exactly. 512 is a good number though.

Also go for a 400-500watt powersupply. Your spending money here, so why buy a cheap PSU? Why run the risk of frying your board/chip with a slightly cheaper 350.

Do it once with all high quality parts, and you won't have to do it again. Or live with a crap system.

Peace

These boards do not have built in video! Good call! Thanks! Also I have never had trouble with a built in audio and lan. It usually frees up some IRQs. If you want to you can always add a sound card later/lan. I could care less about sound, and the lan is a good built in feature. They usually work out of the box with minimum pain and effort.
Also intel makes an outstanding quality board. Have you bought and built an intel system in the last year?????????????? You will be suprised about the quality. ASUS is a great company!!!!!!!!!!! But intel is living up to its name. Quality! They make the chips on the 850/815/etc boards plus the cpus. Who else better to put it all together.
The 450 and 500 watt cases are hard to find at a good price. 350 is more than sufficient. I have a 300 that works great with loads of equipment.

onboard stuff is a matter of opinion - some like some don't

intel boards can NOT be overclocked. If you get a p4 1.6a, you will
be doing yourself a dis-service to not get an overclock-able board.
