Stevie boy Jun 02, 2002, 03:58 PM When I put my puter on & play Freecell, at the end of the game the cards disappear really fast but, after it has been on for a while the cards slow down and go very slowly. Can anyone give me an explanation for this. It's not important, I just want to know why.

Roger Moore Jun 03, 2002, 09:55 AM I have no idea why it slows down after so long. It could be a bug in the game?

littlejack Jun 03, 2002, 10:18 AM i posted about this ages ago, on mine it was slow all the time. i tryed lots of things but nothing worked until....
i dithed ME, and installed XP and now it works fine.
I think Roger was right though, i know of two others that have your fault only with certain combinations of chipsets and graphics cards.
When i posted though, i got told to stop playing it :(
Stevie boy Jun 03, 2002, 02:11 PM Thanks for your replies but, I can't stop playing it, it's the best thing about windows and I don't want XP. I quite like ME, my W98 kept crashing. I put ME on and hey presta no probs since.

Madmom Jun 03, 2002, 02:21 PM I play FreeCell all the time myself, I'm running windows 98 se, right now have 768 mb ram in here and still occassionally will get a slow down...depends on what else I have running on here...I'm usually downloading mp3's or listening to them while I play.....I do think more memory is better for the problem.....it takes a lot to shuffle all those cards around, especially when you win all the time!!! Glad to find out I'm not the only addict! LOL!!!!
Ageamiu Jun 03, 2002, 05:04 PM I did have the following problem: Win 98. I couldn't play Solitaire. After I opened the game, Solitaire made an illegal operation and was shut down. It was impossible to play Solitaire. I put this case on Forum, read many pages, and reinstalled the OS. Nothing. Luckily, I discovered the solution: incompatibility with AVG 6 (free and very good antivirus from Grisoft). I closed Antivirus, and Solitaire perfectly worked. Excuse my "English" and catch the idea: probably an incompatibility with a software running in background, in tray or in foreground, in the same time with FreeCell.
Stevie boy Jun 03, 2002, 06:08 PM Like I said it's not important, just wonderin but thanks for all your replies.
