Whats regarded as the best editing software for home use?

For PC that is :)

Difficult to answer because it comes down to your patience and willingness to learn. I don't mean to be rude.

Video Wave and MGI make good editing software which is very easy to use. However, they are just a little limited, but do produce results.

I prefer Adobe Premiere or Ulead Media Studio. Both have lots of options and the end results are as good as you can expect. But they are more complicated at first glance.
