For anyone thinking of buying from any of the Techtronics companies, be aware that although these might be one of the cheapest companies to buy online from, in my experience there customer services are totally s**t. I placed an order on the 13/05 for a panny dmr e20. When it arrived it did not work and I am still awaiting a replacement 24 days later. Obviously if I had known it would take this long I would have gone elsewhere, but they are consistant in making their excuses as to when I shall receive the replacement.
I would not like anyone else to have to go through this - its not worth the hassle.:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

I'm sorry to hear that but usually techtronics are very good as I bought my dvd player from them without incident.
However every company messes up every now and then even dabs so I would just keep onto them until you get a replacement or ask for a refund

In my experience both Techtronics and Dabs have terrible customer support. Like many suppliers they are fine if they have the stuff in stock and there are no problems/faults but as soon as something goes wrong you are in trouble!

you should go and review em at www.resellerratings.com
sometime, you just have to pay to get the product ya want and the service ya need. Remember You get what ya pay for.

Yes ebuyer.com didnt used to be the best for customer service but they have picked up a lot now. I recommend them.

DONT!!! I repeat DONT let companies mess you about after receiving faulty goods. The law makes it clear demand your money back, they havent a leg to stand on. Cash spends anywere, never mind waiting for a replacement go elsewhere.
Any further probs. refer them to the sale of goods act.

i had the same problem with techtronics 1 waited 2 weeks for my standalone dvd player chipped with multiregion and de macrovision, after 2 weeks my dvd player arrived and guess what "dead on arrival" they arranged a courier the same day and 3 weeks later my working dvd arrived ran great but sh** macrovision kicking in.......... i called them again and they said ooops sorry we didnt update website we can no longer supply demacrovision players due to the law.

they said they would send me a de-macro scart 6 weeks later i got it after many many phone calls and hundreds of emails.

no bad 1 day to deduct by bank account and almost 3 months to supply what i bought

Took over two weeks for my stand alone dvd player to arrive
just to find it was the wrong one. It then took several phone calls and e-mails to unhelpful staff, and over 3 weeks to get it sorted.
NEVER AGAIN! :nono:

Yip know of someone with the same problem DVD player broke down after 2 months and a lot of phone calls before he got it back and its still not right. As long as your stuff doesn't go faulty they seem great, difference between an online store and a high street store and all because a high street store do not want you in their shop ranting and raving. Emails seem less threatning.

This is what happens when people ask for things done by amateurs. If you want your DVD *region free* then your best off just buying one from a reputable dealer (either high-street or online) and then chipping it yourself. Just look on the net, its not that hard.

most people don't have a soldering iron etc.
well I know not many of my friend do. I think theres one.
Plus you need a decent soldering iron cause many of the chips are very small.

so when it comes to £200 electronic I prefer to let an expert do it and give them hell and get my money back if it goes wrong
