View Full Version : windows 98se+interactive cd sampler [amd athlon 1333; athlon 1333; win98SE]

Ok just soomething thats been bugging me!
i have a pc which cam with 98 se preinstalled-i wasnt given the disc.
in my program files menu under accessories there is a sub menu called entertainment .
in taht there is something called "inteactive cd sampler"
however when i click it,it prompts me to insert the 98 cd which i dont have!I borrowed a m8s copy but half way thru installation it tells me that there is a corrupt file!
what is this thing?am i missing out?can i download it from anywhere else?shopuld i delete from the menu?

You're not really missing much. It's basically an advertisement of the various features Microsoft included in the Win98SE OS. It's called "interactive" because you can choose from a menu to read about such things as USB support, FAT 32 support, etc.

It's just another thing that doesn't do anything except take up space on your hard drive.

As M&M Blues said it has various MS features on the cd, and as well about 6 Trial versions of games such as MS Pinball, Golf, Urban Assult,Moto-Cross, as well as Age of the Empires, and Ms Money.

You're not missing much, but if you are interested, you can d/l them from Microsoft's site, as well as quite a few others.
