My CD-ROM won't read 2 discs.. one is a video and one is a text cd. I get either a CD-ROM disc.lnk not valid....... or drive is not accessable message. Other CD's.. audio and video work fine. I've cleaned the drive, checked the settings, buffer size, etc. The discs work fine in my son's computer. Any suggestions? I don't know if re-installing drivers or even Windows would help. Thanks

Swap computer with your son :)

There are no drivers you can install with Windows, they are all part of Windows, the CD may have some bad sectors, where some CDROM can read, and some cant, depend on how they read them.

hey this may sound stupid but are they cd-rw's because if they are they will not be able to read them in a cd-rom
