Some games do and some don't, so when buying the games ask if they have been tested with a NeoKey or S-BOX

Yes you do, not only EA games, but some other games have EA protections, like Spiderman. www.megagames.com get AR Patcher, when you rip a game, use the generic patch mode to check for a EA String.

i dont get this, all the EA games that i have and tried them out on my cousin's Neo key modded system works fine. No patches or nothing.

What is suppose to happen if i dont patch it? It wont run or something? I heard the only time i would need an EA patch is if i Copy a game direct from the original source, EX. NBA LIVE 2002 to CDR

its technically not EA patches, EA games were the just first to incorporate the 'protection', so people relate EA to it.

but yes EA games and many others do need patches for the SBOX/NeoKey/UsbMod. the games wont boot past a black screen if you dont
