can ne help with a couple of problems i have:

Problem 1 - how do i get the video mode selector to work - i've uncompressed the file using winrar, then tried burning that image (i've tried using easy cd creator, selecting the create cd using image file and then changing it to .iso but no luck. i have also tried using nero by using the default iso settings but again no luck) media i have tried are infiniti cdr and a tdk cdrw.

Problem 2 - when i put my dvdr game in this morning for the first time it worked fine with no faults. later in the day when i tried it, it just says unauthorised region. i did insert a dvd dongle into the controller port just b4 trying for the second time (whivch would make it the first time it didn't work) could the dongle thing have locked the region as the game won't play at all since but instead of saying unrecognised disk it says unauthorised region.

hi m8 ok i try and help you out with your answer
ok when you tried the xbox to begin with did u have say region 1
or 2 plugged in and decided to have it region free
the main problem is if your xbox is not a virgin it will be locked into
the region as it was when u where first using it
so if i had region 1 dvd kit in and wanted to use the region 2
i could not as it would be locked
if im right there is a program for resetting the dvd to factory reset

all so with your games try this out boot your xbox up with no media
in turn the xbox off then back on and put the disk in
now the xbox game should work fine
something very weird how it works
i dont have any of these problems as my xbox is a usa version and all
so its got a very good dvd drive in it

hi, just tried the game trick and it still comes up "invalid game region"
the dongle was inserted for the first time after my xbox had been fitted with enigmah. but the problem with the game only started after the dongle had been inserted

my xbox is pal and is fitted with enigmah
(this is the only dvdr i have so i can't test ne others)

Mate "invalid game region" is what i got when i inserted a backup without my xbox being chipped, this would seem to me that your chip might not be working? can you boot any backups? any originals?
Oh and the video mode selector CD by Enigmah will put your xbox back to its region free DVD state.

originals work fine but backups won't and the video mode select won't either
