I'm currently working on some homebrew chips and am looking for info concerning the speed(s) of the original BIOS chip. It seems there are BIOS's of different speeds out there.
The chip bunny had in his xbox was 70ns.
I opened my 1-day old xbox yesterday to find a 90ns chip.
To keep the BIOS's transfer rate to M$ spec, the mod or replacement must be the same speed or faster. Slower chips may not cause problems but it is better to be safe than sorry. :D I'm looking to find the speed that will work for all xbox's so my homebrews will be universal and not have any timing issues.
If you have opened your XBox and examined the BIOS chip, please post the chip's part #.
For example(My BIOS): HY29F080T-90
The "90" is the speed in nanoseconds.
Thanks,
