I've got MOH - Allied Assault. I have found that to play levels I have to be connected to the internet. Not such a problem for me as I have a ADSL connection but maks me wonder why. My friend has the same problem on his system.

My guss is that there is a setting in the game which connects to the net in search of a network game whenever a level loads (to be honest I haven't looked at settings much). Anyone know anything on this matter?

yes this topic was covered when mohaa was first released,i remember i had same prob,you will find your answer here ,i just set my internet to never connect

Yep, I set my firewall to block it and it ran fine. 'Tis a problem with many games though... They crash the first time I run them too, when the firewalls messages pop up. Just setup a rule to block them and they run fine afterwards.
