Where to get a missing CD volume label?
Hi
I got a technical problem with a game, that by posting it here, im hoping that someone could steer me into the right direction.
Is there a way around this problem, that is...?
I made a backup cd copy of a CDROM game, called 'Official Scrabble', then my younger sister borrowed the ORIGINAL an damaged it so I couldn’t use it anymore. So i'm having to use my BACKUP now.
But although it installs, it wont play. It just asks me to load the CD upon clicking 'play', into the cd draw.
However the original cd is too damaged to be read by the drive!
I'm quite certain the problem is that I didn’t copy over the original cd's volume label. Of course I could retype the original label but its source is no longer readable on a computer!
So how else could I fix this problem, namely.
[a] can I find the volume label elsewhere?
Or
[b] is there another way?
CAN ANYONE HELP! -- thanks if ya can folks:)
