Make a DVD-R?? What exactly do you mean?? Simply to write it?? To read and Write it?? To read, strip and author??

Look at it this way, most people mainly burn to cheap 1x media, because 2x media is too expensive, when the 4x writers come out, how much do you think 4x media is going to be??

Although I guess when 4x burners come out the 2x should drop in price.

It takes about 30-40 min to 'burn' depending on the size of the movie on a Pioneer 104 using 1x media. It might take a little longer to actually prepare the movie before you burn using spruce etc etc.
Regarding prices, Pioneer have just dropped prices on the 104 so I cant see another drop for a while. We wiated for the drop befor we re-stocked. We can supply thm for £259.99 OEM version with free DVD-R and DVD-RW
Just seen in another post PC World are selling retail version for £399.99 ....im shocked

Pioneer A04 is the best DVD-R writer at the moment and writes a full DVDR in 28 min at 2 x speed, reading a original is around 7 minutes or a copy can be more than 10 minutes depends on the quality of the disc
Pioneer sales hint that a new 4x writer is due out early next year ?
