I have recently purchased a pioneer dvdrewriter 104 i have purchased multi movies which have arrived on datasafe blue top media the thing is only 2 in every 5 read i sat for a whole day reading up to 90 per cent and then it fails my silver disks which i purchase for 1.87p each i have no problems with so is it the media and if so how come i can read 1 disk but then fail to read the next 5 on the trot again any help appreciated super

You could be reading the DVD to an image file on a FAT 32 file system which will stop at 4Gb approx 90% of a full disk. If the disk isn't full ie under 4GB no problems. A way round this m8 is get smartripper and rip the files to HDD using the Backup button.

If you are using Win98 or ME FAT32 system then use the software that came with the writer, (Veritas Record Now) if you build a global file it will split all the files to no more than 2 gig, if you extract then it will be an .iso file larger than 2gig and FAT32 will not support
