DERRYDVD Jun 18, 2002, 09:01 AM anyone know how? ragingdevil Jun 18, 2002, 09:22 AM Whats the question? DERRYDVD Jun 18, 2002, 09:27 AM i have used the 2 trials, how do i get to use it again! celtic_druid Jun 18, 2002, 01:47 PM You buy the full version. http://www.pegasys-inc.com/e_main.html There is a registry hack, by the way that resets the 30 day MPEG2 trial, but you will have to look elsewhere for it. DERRYDVD Jun 18, 2002, 02:13 PM i was trying not to ASK for the hack! DERRYDVD Jun 18, 2002, 02:34 PM have you a link for the 30 day trial? i only have the 2 goes trial and ive about 40 jobs waiting? Darkman Jun 20, 2002, 02:36 AM To reset the 30day limit for SVCD (MPEG2) encoding remove this entry from your system registry [removed] As TMPGEnc is freeware the need to have this expiry always had me puzzled. Perhaps is was used to nudge users towards updating to the newest version?. celtic_druid Jun 20, 2002, 02:54 AM Q. What is the difference between TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc Plus? A. TMPGEnc Plus has improved 2 pass VBR mode, wider resolution / bitrate setting, and full MPEG-2 encoding function. TMPGEnc Plus is product version which you are able to purchase. TMPGEnc is free demo version, you can use it freely on your own risk. Darkman Jun 21, 2002, 01:20 AM Celtic_druid What's with the removal of my info on the registry key that resets the 30 day trial?. TMPGEnc is freeware, it works indefenitely without need for registration. The MPEG2 encoder for SVCDs expires after 30 days, however as no payment is required to use the software the solution is to uninstall & reinstall TMPGEnc or download & install a newer version of TMPGENc - both of which are a real pain. So the simple solution is to remove the key from the registry. Where's the harm?, it's not hacking or warez as the proggy is freeware. celtic_druid Jun 21, 2002, 02:20 AM I allowed the info on the registry key before TMPGEnc was available for purchase, now that it is, I see no difference between this and say removing Clone CD's registry keys to indefinatly extend the trial. Besides, I hear the key no longer works with v2.55. Here is a tip for anyone for any trial program though, you can get some interesting info if you run a registry monitor and check out what registry keys a program accesses. |
