I load the IFO file and click "DVD play", it says "The player is incompatible with the region marking of this disc". What do I do?

Never had this message myself, are you playing from files ripped to your HD or from the original disc? (sorry your link wasn't working)

Try ripping all files to your HD with smartripper (make sure region free is selected in the options) and playing from there with ifoedit.

I am tring to play the files on my HD. I will look for the region free in the options but my drive is region 2 and the disc is region 1 as well.

You need a DVD region Killer which you can get here (http://home.t-online.de/home/CloneCD/download/SetupRegKill.exe). Run it once, no more problems :)
