Boot Disc for PSX?????????

Is there such a thing?

I have seen them a few places, but heard it was a hoax.
Is there truly a boot disc that allows you to play back-ups on the PSX?

Yes, but you can't download it... or burn it for that matter.

Could you explain this to me in more detail please?

Do a search on boot, xchange, etc. and you should find all the info you need.

Why do you use a bootsdisc on a chipped PSOne?? Unless it is to change the video mode (NTSC, PAL) like the import player, then it is pointless. A bootdisc has to be pressed, becuase if you burn it to a cdr, you would need a modchip, or a real pressed bootdisc to boot your burned bootdisc. This defeats the entire purpose of the bootdisc!!!

boot discs are great if you dont have a chipped psone. anyway, it is quite hard to find someone can chip a psone these days. the ps-x change disc works well, only very few games do not work with it.
