Snoopy007 Jun 20, 2002, 01:37 AM lik-sang has banned most of asia, but there r ways around it
Goku_ssj4 Jun 20, 2002, 03:44 AM Its basically anotha clone !
Just one that supports newer versions !!
Backstar Jun 20, 2002, 04:39 AM It may beat the messiah on price but it certainly won't beat it on performance, as long as I can I'll be installing messiah's rather than any clone as they're proven trouble free.
boss1986 Jun 20, 2002, 04:49 AM well if they get one to work on a pal v4 and if its cheaper than the messiah to get one fitted then ill be getting one :) :D
cheerz
nan Jun 20, 2002, 05:31 AM New PS2 no swap Magic Chip 2 for all V5 3000x-R models (USA/PAL/JAP)
Wed Jun 19 2002 19:30:23 Hong Kong Time - PlayStation2
We just received samples of a new and very interesting PlayStation2 modchip from a so far unknown third party manufacturer. The PS2 Magic Chip 2 promises to play all games (PS&PS2 imports and backups (CDr, DVDr, HK silvers)) without swap as well as without the need of any Action Replay2 or Gameshark2.
The good news as well is that this chip is supposed to be compatible with all V5 3000x-R (USA/PAL/JAP) models, which makes it the first ever no swap modchip for any V5 US or Japanese console.
We are testing this chip at present and delivery will start once satisfactory has been reached. Please subscribe to our product alert to stay informed once this chip becomes available. The anticipated retail price for this chip is around US$ 89 and requires soldering of 23 wires (just as the Messiah chip).
For further discussion about this or any other PS2 modchip, please feel free to head over to our modchip related forum at www.ps2modchips.com.
i just read this and wanted to post it on the board first, you frigga's beat me

gamegod Jun 21, 2002, 05:15 PM just try a differnt supplier, success online is very good but i dont know what they offer. also you may be able to get it shipped to someone you know or trust in anouther country and have them foward it on to you. I am sure you will have to compensate that person some how, but hey if you want the chip then any thing is possable.
d...
Crescendoll Jul 13, 2002, 07:44 PM lol..probably is just a messiah, on a blue board, instead of green, and with a different wrapper. It's also got 23 wires, and like....2 of the pics they give are EXACTLEY to same connecting points as the messiah.
krappamc Jul 14, 2002, 07:45 PM y does the ***** chip cost so much anyways
it'll probably cost less than 5 dollars to make it ( i don't know , just being sarcastic).
anyways, i'll get my messiah when the price goes down to around 50 bux at least... before then, i'll just stick wit my rmod and sbox
Crescendoll Jul 15, 2002, 05:45 AM your're probably right....the actual raw materials needed to make the chip, shouldnt cost much at all. I mean, maybe casue they use like....big robot machines to make them but still. They make them in such large quantaties that wouldnt make much of a difference. I think its basically, casue the demand is high, and at this moment its the only (or one of the only) no swap ones. In situations like this, they can set a high price and still sell.
Also the code probably took really long to develope
