i have a ? i see that there is a diff- between a dvd- and a dvd+
and the writers only write one or the other, my question is which one is better- ill be making copies of dvd movies and xbox and ps2 games- so should i get a dvd+ writer or a dvd- writer-

Well I am in the same boat you are. It seems that they both work for xbox games. I also noticed that the dvd+r media is twice as much. So I would say if all is equal i would go with the dvd-. I hear that the dvd+ is a newer format and more universal.

This is just what I am getting out of it from reading like you. I am still not 100% sure either. Maybe someone could shed some light on this further.

DVD + media is rare and expensive and it is not more 'universal'. The best DVD writer to get is the Pioneer 104. Cheapest to buy, cheapest to run (media is cheap) and it works

thanks guys for putting info-

so what im getting is that dvd-r is the best way to go
since dvd+r isnt that universal and plays in all dvds and is more expensive-
then ill just go with dvd-r
