Is this by trying to open it from the button on the CD Rom?

hehe ....... two options if the button on the front won`t open it. Go to My Computer and right click the drive and select Eject or get a knife or something with a thin, flat edge and prise the drawer open :)

One of them should work :)

^Dylan, that was what I was going to say, adding on the end that a hammer is also something you could use

Yup, I`ve prised open cd drawers before ......... usually due to power failure of the unit, word of warning tho if it is jammed then be careful, if you feel the slightest resistance to the drawer just sliding out then stop doing it :)

BTW, no you cannot change lasers over.
