Built the current system last week and all works wonderfully except for this little annoyance. Every couple of restarts the system gets to the final bit of booting after windows splash screen and then just hangs! Can simply press restart and the system boots no problems after that. Girlfriend left it booting the other day and when she returned after about 1/2hr she tells me that an error message had appeared .... something mentioning Error 44 (wasn`t here to see for myself so describing blind so to speak here) accompanied with the usual blue screen.
Checked for usual conflicts, device manager et al but no visible signs are apparent. All kit works as it should so am pretty certain it isn`t driver related (ie: driver failing to load at boot up ....... done several step by step logged boots).
As I say this isn`t a major problem, just a bit annoying :)

Any ideas/workarounds would be welcome as I hate things which don`t work perfectly :)

Cheers,

Del

try upgrading your BIOS by flashing it, or finding updated drivers for everything on the net and updating everything.

worked for me..
