I have this old 6.4 gig HD that was from an old Compaq Deskpro p2 400mhz pc. I would like to use this for my OS and then use my 30gig for everything else. im not sure how fast the HD is. i know the mobo speed was 33mhz. would it kool to do that? would the old HD be to slow to use for the OS? I have pretty much all of the windows OS's, but im sticking with 98se till i build my new pc. thanks

If you're gonna use that old HD for the OS, just tell Windows to create a fixed swap file on the 30gig one.

thanks a lot. i didnt know if it was wise to use a old HD for anything since HD's are so fast now. I didnt want to let the HD go to waste just collecting dust somewhere. thanks again
