I'm thinking of upgrading to Broadband and the BT Plug and go Option seems very good. Who else has got it and thinks it's a good broadband service.

Does the modem cable plug straight into my orginal BT line or do anything need to be altered on it?

Is it easy to install without an engineer?

And what exactly do the filters do?

I would appreiciate any advice given.

Thanks

bt openworld gets a lot of bad press, but I have been with them for nearly a year, and i am reasonably happy, although I didnt have the plug and go package, mine was installed by bt engineers. I think a lot of it depends on which home gateway they stick you on.

i've had it since november last year, the engineer installed version and i've had no problems with it and found it to be quite good and fast, if thats because i'm near the telephone exchange.

its worth getting it if you cant have cable, well its something better over 56k.
