How is the snes emulator coming along? How long tell it comes out?

I think they should let everyone test the beta, its like BidforPower, it was taking so long to release, many ppl thought it was fake, when it finaly came out, it was crap. But SNES Emulator won't be crap.

yeah they should release it to everyone to test, sometimes i feel like theyre just lyin and just keeping us on the edge of our seat for no reason. I have seen the suppoly screen shots from their site and it looks really fake.

what is this bidforpower? i never heard of it.

Its definly real. Iv seen the pics and the vids that snipakilla put up (i dont have the url ne more) and it looks very reel.

i dont know, it does look sorta fake. but i hope it is real and they are working on it....

he would also like to point out that he is the sole creator and it takes him time to create such a wicked emu! He does it in his free time this is why a release has not yet been made public.

Also he want the public release to be the final version so that everything work well

the emulator itself might be cool, but the games you can play are still crap IMHO :)

Are you serious, snes was the best system ever made, it had classics such as final fantasy 3, i don't see any six year olds playing final fantasy, who cares if it has some kiddy games, snes was the system that made videogames what they are today, this emulator is going to be the greatest, i can't wait 'till this comes out!!!

yeah the snse is god! Mario 3 was genius! As was f-zero and donkey kong country!

Mario 3 was on the NES. It was Mario 4 that was the first Super Famicom game. Sorry to be picky......but i agree....the SNES still had the highest number of top quality games for it........Contra 3, Castlevania 4, Final Fantasy 6, Mario Kart, etc etc...

yea those games are all good, especially Mario Kart, but there are 2, the best 2 no one mentioned. They are "The Peace Keepers" and "Super Double Dragon." In SDD you can grap their hair, rip it a bit, and be punching them, or kicking them in the face or gut, what i ask, is better entertainment then that my friends? -fatboy out

There was also the classic street fighter games.

What about Chrono Trigger, probably one of the best RPG's ever made

There a lot of good RPG in Snes. Chrono Trigger is the top of them

Am I serioues? that doesn't really matter, what matters is that Nintendo IS serious, I quote:

C'mon no online gaming?? I wouldn't get that machine if they paid me for it.

I don't see how you can say Nintendo make kiddy games/consoles. Look at the likes of Goldeneye, Pefect Dark, Castlevania, and in my opinion, I wouldn't really say Zelda games were for kids either, since they require a bit of brain power to solve puzzles. And as was mentioned earlier, all the RPGs that it had - Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger etc. I'm really looking forward to this emulator, since I despise playing SNES games on my PC. Oh, and if you really wanna be picky, Mario 3 wasn't just on NES, it was on SNES too, in the form of Super Mario All Stars.

Pikmin against GT3? If i watched those commercials it wouldn't be so hard to make a choice.

Nintendo is one of the greatest names. Sony stole their pie back in what '95??? Sony has the money to kill nintendo, so nintendo moved on. pre '95 or '96, nintendo made some of the greatest games. As they still make them, like RESIDENT EVIL, and such, i dont think little children should be playing those.. There are others too... Should i make fun of sony? Sony made Fantavision, and Crash Bandacoot!! No i dont make fun of sony for that... Nintendo spreads out the maturity of its games... Sony focuses on the older people. Its all supply and demand :-D

It's really hard to get a piece of the action and Nintendo has claimed their niche. Simple as that.

This can be solved very easily !!

You can still pick up a SNES very very cheap, the Wildcards are still available and you can get all the games off the net.

I still have my US NTSC SNES, 32MBIT Superwild Card and over 500 games,

I still play Earthbound, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mario Kart (I have a DSP Cartridge, for those of you who might be trying to catch me out !!) and all the other classics.

I hope the emulator does come out, as I can transfer all my floppy disc games onto a few CDs, and I hope a vibration function can be implemented somehow, but all this *****ing about the SNES is a kids machine, all you guys were obviously Megadrive owners, so once again this topic has now been brought down to the level of "SEGA V's Nintendo"

I thought we stopped doing this about 3 years ago !!!

and before you say "he is just a Nintendo fan" I own and play the following still to this day : -

Saturn, N64 (with DV64 copier), 2 Dreamcasts, Gameboy, PSX, Modded PS2 and Gamecube, so I am completely unbiast, I just enjoy the games and I do not care what format they are on, so why should you guys ?

You make a good point Dave, I own and play my Snes Genesis, N64, PSX, modded PS2 and Gamecube, and I love all of the systems but my favorite would be the SNES, so if I still play these games now I don't think it's a kiddie machine, but this emulator is going to be the best because now i could play those snes games that i don't have and can't find anywhere now.

since vibration is not native to the console, there is nothing there to emulate. however, you may be able to simulate rumble by having the controller shake with loud sounds. i mentioned this to sjeep once and he said its definitely doable, but you guys shouldnt expect it anytime soon since it will probably be very low on the priority list (like zip file support)

Good point. I didn't have a SNES or a Megadrive, and I don't like one particular console because it's made by a certain company and I don't hate any other consoles for the same reason, I just like playing games, and the SNES was one of the greatest consoles ever in my opinion, with the greatest selection of games ever. I just don't think it was a kids console. I also have all of the consoles you mentioned above, and play them all, so I'm not biased either.

on direct connect i saw files like "ps2 - snes mega game collection" that maybe the emulator packed with games. it`s over 600 meg

I think since the PGEN was leeked it is going to take a bit longer to relese.

Well while were all waiting for a snes emu for ps2 those lucky xbox owners have already got one! Think XBOX is the way to go for emultors

I hate the X Box the only thing that actually makes it good is the emulators it's going to have, but other than that it sucks.
